Admiral LoRa I/O node
In the field of process fluid control, remote monitoring of ON-OFF valve positions has become a fundamental requirement.
Real-time knowledge of whether a valve is open or closed ensures efficient plant management, eliminating the need for on-site inspections and preventing tampering or unauthorized operations in unmanned areas.
By leveraging the Solexy Admiral device combined with two magnetic proximity sensors, it is possible to transmit the status of both manual and automated valves via LoRaWAN, either on a periodic basis or triggered by specific events.
Thanks to the intrinsically safe construction of the Admiral and the battery pack that powers it, deployment can be carried out easily even in Zone 0 areas and without a field power supply.
The LoRa protocol allows for very long-range communication, making this solution viable even for isolated valves.
